"What? Rule of any con is having an exit strategy. I don't know about you, but usually I like to be very far away from any threats to my wellbeing..."

'But that would mean leaving this place.'

"Hence taking the money so we can open up another place in..." He thinks for a second, "How's somewhere tropical sound? I'm leaning toward Hawaii myself."

She frowns. 'Too hot.'

"Oh come on! You're like the only girl who'd say that!"

"Fine where would you go?"

ooc he said absolutely nothing when he broke up with her, lol

'Somewhere practical.'

"Hawaii is practical! Beaches, nice people, easy to lose someone in, opportunities! Had me some good years down there!"

'Maybe we should travel the world and then chose the best place to be.'

"Cool! I'm game for that! Been too long since I traveled anyway!"

"Think Sawyer and Lucy will come with?"

'Maybe.' She smiles. 'although they mayy just want to go off on their own. You'll have to ask.'

"Yeah, I bet they'd come though. I mean, we all have fun!"

She smiles. 'Maybe.'

"Well I'd best get my quit exit kit!"

She jumped down from the table and sat in his lap. 'I think,' She said, smiling 'I am all you need for a quick exit kit.'

"Really?" He smirked at her knowingly, whispering into her ear, "Well do you have fake passports, a stash of cash and other such things stuffed on your person? If so, I'd be happy to look for them..." His eyes roamed her up and down.

'I would say...find out...but you would be disappointed.'

"No I wouldn't. I'd love to do an inspection..." He winked at her slyly. "Trust me Kry, dames would kill for the touch of the J-man!"

Joachim couldn't be more pleased. 

Ever since the young man had taken control of Chezhekov gang, he was taking in more profit than ever before. The illegal sales of old Death Eater artifacts especially were bringing in a small fortune from private collectors. 

The best part was, half of them were fabrications. He only gave out the authentic goods to those willing to shell out the most of had the most to shell out. 

His inn continued to boom as a result. Now there were even more gambling tables, higher class luxuries in the rooms and enough guest to keep them afloat even without the added criminal activity. 

'But hey, why make 10 galleons when you can make $11?'


The young crime lord sat at his bar, smoothing out his new perfectly tailored white business suit. He ordered his usual and observed te high life he had now. It seemed almost humorous he had gone from pick pocketing to this.

Sheesh, this place is expensive.


Rook's lip curled as he walked in, assessing the inn as somewhere he could lie low for a while. After being used to makeshift tents and shelters in the forests and wildlife reserves he had been hiding in, this place was the Crystal Palace in comparison. Even raised as a pure-blood Slytherin, the high life seemed foreign to him now.

Still, the chances of people finding him were slim, even less so than using Donia's warehouse. The latter had been an option, but he decided against revealing himself to her so early. She would be a useful ally, yet he wasn't certain he could trust her yet. 

He approached the bar carefully, making no effort to blend in with the aristocracy present. 
"Got any more room at the inn, Joseph?" He half-teased, a friendly smile lighting his usually appraising features as he took a seat. "I won't be your richest customer, mind." For now, he would try not to analyse the features of the suited man before him, trying to decide whether the outfit matched the man or looked acutely out of place.

Joachim held back mild annoyance at the purposeful butchering of his name and turned to face the customer. But he gave a friendly smile, albeit forced, and addressed him civilly, "Well guy," He spoke with the speed and sleaze of a used car salesman. Hailing from New York, his accent managed to survive years of life in England, "I'd ask the front desk for that but we oughta have room if you got the dough..." He looked him up and down, as he would any potential mark. A person's clothes told you a lot about what was in their pockets. 

And this guy looked barely able to afford the napkins here.

Joseph was also a bible joke, not a pun on his name D:

ic "Then screw it!" He changed his mind, clasping his fingers and grinning widely at the man. "Pity a poor wizard for a moment, maybe? I ain't got nothing but secrets and the robes on my back." And a few coins, but Joachim didn't need to know that.

"Maybe i don't fit into the fancy life you got here but i recognise you.." he considered the boy's features; where had he seen him before?

This perked the young man's interest. For many years he was all but anonymous. He could drop dead on the street and not a soul would recognize him.

But now, he was known? It made his mouth water with excitement, his curiosity twisting in his vain mind.

"Hmm.. tell you what guy, you tell me what you've heard and I'll think about it. You play any card games?" He tilted his head toward the gambling tables.

ic "Perhaps, depends what's at stake. I like dealing in secrets." he said rather casually, appraising the boy in front of him. The nag at his mind insisted, and he resisted the urge to try and poke around in Joachim's mind. If he was caught doing that then his whole plan would fall apart.

"You're involved with.. crime. Heavy stuff, or i wouldn't recognise your face." In his mind he tried to narrow down the wizard gangs - as well as muggle groupings. "If that's a secret then I apologise." He rose to sit at one of the gambling tables, curious.
