Help With My English 1010 Homework

So, I have to write a paper about a controversial issue of my choice.  I have chosen ObamaCare.  (For those who don't live in the U.S. or don't know what it is, it is forced health care.)  

Does anyone here support it?  Or at least discuss it?  It would be a great help!

I don't support it but I am willing to discuss it.

Either way, it would be nice! I need friends views on it for the paper.

Okay, here goes.

First off I don't mind insurance of any kind. I think if you can afford it and you like it/use it, then by all means do it. However, I think we're crossing the line when the President forces everyone in America to have health insurance or else pay a fine.

That's really, really pushing the buttons on freedom. He took away our freedom of choice by making everyone have insurance. Period.

Now, on the financial side of it all (which is the side that really rubs me raw). It's a shit-ton more to pay for insurance every month and not need it than it is to save that money and use it when you need it.

Let's do some math:

The average American is either Lower-Middle class ($20-30,000 annually) or Middle class ($30-60,000 annually). The average health insurance monthly payment is $328.

Health insurance would cost about $3,936 a year. Now that doesn't seem like much but you've also got to figure in that the average American household has about 4+ people in it. The average cost of raising a child is about $6,900+ annually. Plus, you have additional bills like car insurance, mortgage payments/rent, car payments, utilities, phone, gas, food, and so on. 

Average costs annually include:
food- $9,864
gas/car payments- $6,000
mortgage/rent- $7,560
phone- $852
utilities- $449
kid(s)- $6,900 (per child)
health insurance- $3,936 (per person)

Add that all together and you get: $30,161 (with one child).

That's more than a Lower-Middle class person makes in a year. There is no way they can afford insurance on top of everything else that they pay for. Now, the average Middle class american could probably swing that and that's fine.

I'm stressing that I don't like it because I live in a Lower-Middle class society and my family is Lower-Middle class. I see how my family struggles to just put the necessities into our house. I hate that we now have to dish out $328 a month per person for a service that we don't even use. It'd be much cheaper to save that money and use it when we need it.

That's why I don't agree with Obamacare.

I completely agree! The government isn't here to oppress us, and here they are oppressing us! Not only that, our taxes pay for Obama's healthcare, so we're paying for far more than our own.

And then, the government goes and hands out money to people who aren't even trying to find a job! Where that money could be going to improving America we're paying people to sit on their asses. It pisses me off to no end.

I don't think he's ruining the country because some of the things that he's done while in office aren't all bad, however financially, yes, he's ruining the country.
