'At least you been eating regularly.' she commented, pulling her brown ringlets into a ponytail. 'Where've you been since the battle then?'

"Honestly, just around here. Doing a little good, little bad, little of both..." He shrugged.

'How's your family? Blah blah blah..' She was genuinely curious how his family life had been since he'd left Hogwarts. 'Its weird, nobody is at school anymore and i left with a load of dud qualifications. '

"Mum's good. Been loving having me around." He answered with candor, "dud qualifications?"

'I failed everything.' she answered flatly. 'Not because im dumb, but because i never took school seriously with the whole 'i'm gonna get killed' scenario always lurking in the background.'

Her face twitched a little, trying not to pull her stoic expression into a grimace. 'Uh.. how's Potion then?' 

ooc Amaya asking all the awkward questions

"Yeah I only barely passed by the skin of my teeth..." Topher admitted honestly. "And as for Potion..." (*record skip*)

OOC I have no idea what kind of story to use here o.o Any ideas?

Ooc gone travelling maybe? Seems like a Potion thing to do. (Or on a research trip.)

Ic 'thats real nice though, to have some comfort and stability.' Amaya then cringed at her own question, pushing her food around on the plate with her fork. 'I didn't mean to be invasive, I was just wondering if married life was treating you better than it treated me.'

"She's out, researching for a book she intends to write..." He told her with a smile on his face. However this smile was a forced one if Amaya ever saw one. He was proud of Potion for following her dreams but was missing her and wishing she'd let him go with him.

She squinted at him, inspecting his features carefully. 'What's wrong with that pretty boy? sounds fucking ace to me. Why you looking at me like you've just spoken to a neighbour you secretly want to punch?'

"Oh don't get me wrong! I'm over the moon happy for her!" He quickly defended holding up his hands, "It's just... she's been gone a while and hasn't written in a long time..." 

"I miss her terribly... but I have no idea where she is or if something went wrong..."

'Then let her be happy with whats she's doing. Sitting here and fretting about it won't make her come back or write to you any faster. Most of the time people don't write because they're enjoying themselves or they trust you enough not to constantly contact you.'

The waitress came over with a tray of shots, causing Amaya to start smiling. 'Wanna stop worrying for a little while?' She offered him one of the glasses.

"Yeah you're probably right..." He graciously took one of the glasses and drink it down without a problem.

'Let Aunty Maya look after you..' She murmured, winking at him. 'Potion's a strong girl, nobody would stand a chance against her if im honest.' Downing the first glass she picked up, she reached for another.

'Just like i'm cut-throat too.'

"yeah I know Potion can handle her own. Just kind of hard you know? Before I had some psychopaths to keep my mind off things, but now that things are tranquil again... just kind of came back to me." He took another drink, shooting this one down even faster.

'Alright.' She slammed the glass onto the table. 'So what you're telling me, is that you're bored. You miss the danger, the excitement, fearing your life, it keeps you interested.' 

Amaya grinned at him, trying to get him to cheer up. 'We should go on an adventure, something incredibly stupid and risky, why the hell not?'

He picked up another glass and cheer and merriment returned to his face, "You know what? Count me in, sista'!"

'That's my partner in crime!' She also grasped another, necking it before she spoke again.

'So.. What shall we do? A scam? A robbery? A murder?' Her voice dropped to a low hush at the last suggestion.

"I'm game for the first two!" Topher felt an old sensation return to him like an old friend from back in his street days. The feeling of victory over the poor soul they duped was one of the most pleasant feelings he'd ever had and the thought of feeling it again excited him to no end.

'Good, cause i dont plan on paying here.' She murmured to him, continuing to plough her way through the remaining shots. It was odd, even though Amaya had been in hospital her tolerance to alcohol was strangely high. 

'It's been a while though, maybe i'm rusty. You better be ready to zap with them eyes.' she made laser beam noises.

"Ah don't worry, Chimmy and I used to pull this number all the time. Alsop what am I, Cyclops now?" He asked with a wink as he sipped down another drink.

'Maybe.' She responded with a chuckle, savouring the muggle reference.  'But if you're cyclops, that must make me Jean..'

Amaya flipped her hair in fake seduction, batting her eyelashes at Topher. 'I will fucking obliterate you.' She continued making flirty faces as she dropped her tone to a murderous hush.

He laughed heartedly at the joke, "Just whatever you don't, don't team with Magneto and wait until the end of our adventure to engage in little more than destruction porn..."

She snorted. 'I ain't no demolition girl, i'd probably be mystique if anyone.' Amaya was starting to feel the buzz from the potential scam, or maybe it was the alcohol kicking in a little. She didn't really care either way.

'Ready to blow this joint? I ain't eaten, but i don't need to.'

"Yeah just follow my lead and rush me out the door when it's time..." He whispered and then started slamming his fist on the table and one hand went straight up to his throat as though he were choking on something.

She immediately put on a stricken expression. 'Someone get a nurse, my boyfriend's choking!' She shouted, desperately trying to gather attention.
