So the title for Star Wars Episode VII has been announced, "Star Wars The Force Awakens'.
Admittedly good title, and with the original cast reunited and an announced more focus on practical effects than CGI I am definitely curious where this is going to go.
JJ abrams said that this movie was to be an extension of the original trilogy, and I sure hope he lives up to that promise. Believe me, I'm sure him and Disney know they only have one shot at this. If they botch this, they'll lose the Star Wars fanbase faster than they can say 'Jar Jar Binks'.
However I'm hopeful for it. Abrams is a good director certainly and should understand the fanbase. The cast all know what they're doing, that's a given. Also it's not exactly a secret that Disney isn't hurting for cash and they know this could be their golden goose if they play their cards right. They're not going to half ass it.

*sits down in confessional* Forgive me Gamers, for I have sinned.
In a moment of greed and lust for power, I have broken one of my very own gaming commandments (Thou Shalt Not Use Cheat Codes Until Thou Hath Beaten The Game).
My sin was a variation of this. I used a hack to get me 10 million coins in this one app I love (Injustice Gods Among Us Mobile ((Highly recommend))). While I was given the promised coins by what I can only assume was Video Game Satan, the price was all my characters and progress, forcing me to restart from the beginning.
I can only pray to Video Game Jesus to absolve me this sin and may be start over be redemption for my crimes against gaming.

Also, on the subject of video games, my sister bought The Evil Within. It's super intense/confusing/scary as hell/hard. I love it.

i've been playing this online game called Town Of Salem, and i absolutely adore it.
Basically, the goal of the game is to make your side win, and you are randomly assigned a role at the start of the game. There's the town members, who have to lynch/kill the mafia in the day to win. There's the mafia, who can shoot someone each night, and they win by killing all the non-mafia. Then there's neutral roles such as the Serial Killer, who also has to kill EVERYONE, including the town and mafia.
Each person has a unique role, meaning that everyone is important and can influence the game. There's people like the jailor who can make someone immune to attacks or execute them, there's a medium for talking to the people who have died so far, there's a godfather in the mafia who will not be discovered by the town detectives...
it's just a really cool game because it's about deception and choosing your targets carefully. My favourite role is the serial killer... of course. or the jester - i just make everyone believes im the serial killer so they kill me (and thats how the jester wins)
i recommend it, it's a fun game when you understand all the roles. :3

it's based on a lot of similar games tbh, i just find it fun and frustrating because the town is really easy to trick so the mafia and serial killers end up winning a lot

Why I'm NOT Throwing a Conniption About The Three Bladed Lightsaber
Okay so the new Star Wars movie trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMOVFvcNfvE) came out and everyone seems to be throwing a hissy fit about the three bladed lightsaber that appears in it. They call it impractical or silly or whatever.
Look, I'm as diehard a Star Wars fan as they come. I really am. I've read the books, seen the movies to the point of memorizing and studied the expanded universe and the games. But honestly this doesn't bother me.
At first I was along with most people questioning it's practicality. However as I came to think about it, something occurred to me.

Guys, I love all these things as much as you do. I really do. Like, I'd become a jedi Sith tomorrow if I could. But let's face facts. The death star is completely non aerodynamic and if the ATAT could be made a million times more effective with wheels! I'm sorry but it's true.
My thinking is that people are looking for an excuse to hate this movie as Disney is the new owners behind the franchise and the three bladed lightsaber happened to be the point they all found to pick at.
Besides, to me, the thing that matters is HOW this new feature is utilized. If it's used awesomely, then I'll buy it! If it's not used in a way that shows it off then I may be inclined to agree.
So yeah... try not to be too harsh on this guys.
