Room of Requirement

"Yeah, we're the damn 'Odd Couple'..." Joachim chuckled a little, relieved to here his friend back to a happy state.

'i dont think its a good thing thoug.'

"Why not? Sure to make life exciting!'

She shrugs. 'Becuase....we both end up hurting each other? even when we dont mean to.'

"Yeah but better that than having you out to get me and me out to 'get' you, you know?"

She frowns at him. 'What?'

"I just mean I'd rather go through rough times as your friend then good ones as your enemy, ya know?"

'Im glad i dont hate you anymore, Chimmy.'

"Oh give me time... I'm bound to screw up soon...'


"Yeah me too..."

She smiles. 'Come on. You have an inn to run...'

"Yeah, so do you partner..."

She takes a deep breath 'No one there....they dont blame me or hate me or anything?'

"Nope, hell Lucy and Sawyer miss you..."

She snorts 'I dont think its me. Its proberly the amusment they get out of us arguing.'

"Ah maybe... but let's have them tell us for themselves..."

'Somehow i dont think they would tell us.'

"Well let's find out..."

'ok...'

He opened the door for her, "Come on we're losing daylight!" He told her trying to keep his tough persona intact

Walking into the Room of Requirement felt like stepping into a bath that was just the right temperature. It was everything you ever needed and more.

Crouch had made frequent visits there over the years. Discovering it entirely by accident, he had nonetheless taken full advantage of the room. In his younger years, he used it as depot for various items that the professors wouldn't allow. In later years, he'd found infinitely more imaginative uses of it. 

Now it served as his primary laboratory. Here, he could study his 'extracurriculars' without fear of reputational damage. 

There was a certain Ravenclaw who would probably love to use the room for similar purposes, but Crouch had found him to lack proper imagination to ever consider cooperating with him. While Crouch sought to push the boundaries of magic as far as could be pushed, the boy seemed content with focussing on the trivial. He believed his latest project was developing a sort of parseltongue for birds or some such nonsense. 

The fact that he was serious contender for Headboy every year alongside Crouch was also a substantial factor. You don't let a rival into your home. He didn't even need to be a Slytherin to understand a rule that basic.

As minutes ticked by, he wondered if he should've been more through in instructions to Amy as to where to meet him. She seemed bright enough to discern his meaning and see past the intentional vagueness.

The heels of her boots softly clicked as she ascended the stair case from the sixth floor and down the corridor towards the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. She rarely found herself in this part of the castle and she was fairly certain the Gryffindor common room was on the north wing, but she starred skeptically at the blank stretch of wall across from the depiction of the foolish wizard. She paced a few times nervously twisting one of her jet black locks and with a little uncertainty of what to ask the room for. She mulled over exactly what to say and decided it would understand what she needed. Sure enough a door appeared as though phasing through the wall itself.

Amy couldn't help but to take a moment and appreciate the charm that hid this room in plain sight as she stepped through the door into Crouch's Laboratory of sorts. "You know using riddles as a way to tell someone where to meet probably isn't the best idea." her lips curled into a mischievous smirk as she approached him "what if I hadn't been clever enough to find this place?" Her pale fingertips slid lightly along the wood of the table as she peered at his work with brightened curiosity.

"Well then you probably wouldn't have been much help in the first place..." He smirked teasingly as he looked over his shoulder. Ever hoping to keep a leg up on his competition, he'd gone to some extreme lengths to ensure this room was used by himself only. (Oops! XD) 

"But you're here so... you passed." He chuckled lightly, as his hands went to his sides, his left hand habitually checking his pocket to ensure a vial was in it.

She was standing fairly close to him now the spark of mischief still held in her glacier blue eyes "I still may not be of much help.. but then again I surprise even myself sometimes when I set my mind to something of importance." Taking a slight note to his subconscious movement and making a mental note.

She smiled at him brightly"so what do you need my help with exactly anyway?"

He smiled back at her and gestured around him with no shortage of pride, "Ahh not one thing specifically, but I figured given our partnership I should let you in on this room."

"Here's where I test out my theories and the like. Much more luxurious than the potions classroom and such..." 

'Much less prying eyes too.'
