I take her into the Luxor hotel. The giant glass pyramid was a beacon of hope, a promise of new beginnings.

Heading into one of the hotels, I simply show my ID to the head of the desk and he hands me a room key, "It helps when your parents run this place."

It was a wonder to behold, like sitting on the throne looking down at the lights below. There were coaches of grandest luxury and a small group around Tyler's age with a simple craps table, "Hey Ty!" They greet him as he steps in.
