| Care of Magical Creatures is an elective course at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that can be taken by students Third year and above. In the class, students learn about a wide range of magical creatures, from flobberworms to Fire crabs, and even unicorns and thestrals. Students are taught about feeding, maintaining, breeding, and proper treatment of these various creatures.

| As hagrid tells us about hippogriffs i volunteer to be the first to try and make friends with it (hagrid) "who wants to volinteer" "i do " as i bow and it does too we both slowly approach eachother as i climb abord we take off i yell "yeah" the hippogriff gets startled and takes off straight up ... I almost fall of than it stops and goes toward the quidditch field i grab the reins and lead it back to hagrid and i won twenty points to hufflepuff | |
