Crest helped to pull the untouched trunk out. Was eagle still here? That's the only conclude that could be drawn.

Even in coldness, crests surprise blared like the summer light on his face. His curiosity had to be satisfied as he opened the wooden case.

Grimy. Unused for at least 3 months. 

'Tell me Crest, if you were still here at Hogwarts, would your trunk look so undisturbed?' she questioned the Strayer carefully, seeking his observation. Her brain was functioning at a fast pace, little pieces of the jigsaw were finally beginning to make a corner of the bigger picture.

Helping the man rifle through the contents, she scanned the items doubtfully as she noted them.
Clothes... books.. potions..

"I travel light usually. Myself my wand, some money. That's all."

"This suggest to me that even if he did leave, he did so in a hurry, not having the time to collect his possessions. Or more likely he's still here."

Her head bobbed in a slow nod, agreeing with both. 'So the options are to locate him here or he's in distress.' she clarified to herself, placing a finger to her chin. 'I'm leaning towards the latter, it's more of a feeling than anything though.' Ace didn't like admitting that she was relying on her gut instinct to string random bits of information together.

I have no other choice.

'what do you propose we do?' For once, she turned her head to look directly at him, genuinely curious.

"We search for him here for now. Write to him, that will give us a clue as to his level of panic or lack there of."

'I've already tried letters.. nothing. Nothing at all.' she murmured, shaking her head profusely. 'If he's not here, i wouldnt know where else to look..'

"We search the castle top to bottom then. It's all we can do if such is the case." Crest's promised her with wholehearted devotion that intention. He was as resolute as a time tested oak tree in a hurricane, firmly planted on what he said and didn't budge no matter the force of the winds against him.

'Then let's do it, i see no other thing i'd wanna do.' she declared, straightening up with purpose, resolve now. She couldn't back down anymore, she needed to find him..

"Anywhere you wish to start?"

He was sat on a window seat staring out at the grounds below him. He was slowly and rhythmically banging his head on the window.

Krystal came out of the girls dorms, clutching a bag in her hands, full of cloths and bedding. she stopped as she saw teddy- no one had seen her come in and get everything...but she couldnt leave him causing damage to his head.
'Teddy? You ok?'

He gave a muffled sound of acknowledgement but nothing else and continued to bang his head against the window.

She went and sat beside him, watching him. 'So my house just burnt down...Im pretty sure my...' she frowns 'chimmy is going to be angry that i dissapeared while im still recovering, so i have nothing but time on my hands. tell me whats wrong.'

He looked over at her. "Your problems make mine look trivial."

'then they will take my mind off mine for a bit.'

"I'm trying to figure out how to break up with my boyfriend so I can date someone else. It sucks and I don't wanna do it. But I promised Xander..."

'You dont want to? then dont. You cant promise someone your heart if you arent ready.'

"I want to go with Xander, but I don't want to break up with Bryn. I like them both a lot. It's frustrating."

'dnt see either of them for a while. dont talk to them. and went it gets to the point that you realise i cant live without this perso. choose that one.'

"I'm a clingy, social creature. I need constant connection with someone special."

'then stay away until you realise whose touch you need more?'

He gave an exasperated groan. "I caaannn'ttt." He let his head fall back onto the window again.

'I do know how you feel, you know. but sometimes you have to do the things you dont want to.'
