'No.' He said shortly.a lie, of course- but nicknames meant friends and friends were bad.

He tapped his chin as he pondered a nickname. "Alex is too common. Alec is too, I dunno, not you. Alexander is a mouthful. There's gotta be a good name for you."

'Why do you wan me to have one? and my name is not a mouthful.'

"Because I think you're hot and I don't like long names."

'Dont waste your time on me. I cant return anyhing.'

His smile faltered slightly. "Oh. Got it." He took a deep breath to calm himself so that he wouldn't blush from embarrassment. "I still think Alexander is a bit long," he mumbled.

He couldnt help but smile at the boys embarresment. 'Not because of what you think. I dont....' He shakes is head, not even knowing why he was trying to explain. 'I cant let myself care for anyone. You cant even care for me. thats why its useless.'

OOC What would happen if he did start caring for Xander?

'Then you could die!' He sighed, running his hand throuh his hair. 'Im cursed. ou cant care for me. i would never... I feel so helpless when people are in pain. because of me.'

He hid his sympathy well. This boy probably got enough of it from everyone else. "I'm stubborn and I have a bleeding heart. I'll care for you whether you like it or not."

He closed his eyes and turned away. 'I cant let you.'

IC He shook his head. "I don't care. I'm gonna care about you whether you want me to or not."

He suddenly turned back around and pushed Teddy against the wall, staring at him, his eyes hard. 'Two people that I loved died because of me. Becaue they loved me back. If you want to care about me, fine. But its your funeral. Litterally. I....I cannot.' He stopped, taking a step away. 'I cannot let someone else die. Please.'

His brain buzzed with all the possible options around his curse. "How about I care about you enough for you to know, but not enough to kill me?"

'because it would still cause you pain. In the long term.'

"What's life without a little pain?" He smiled at the young man. "Surely not a life I'd want to live in."

'you would end up hating me for it. trust me.'

"I highly doubt that. You're too hot for me to hate."

He smiled. 'Your very forward, you know that?'
