The sound of an owl hooting echoed around the clearing, making Meredia step back as it dropped a letter into Artemis's palms. On the front was Sydnay's usual scrawl, addressing the letter to him. There were also blotches where the envelope had become stained with her tears.

A tear drenched letter? Who would send one at this time, or rather, who wouldn't?

Either way, I open it up, bracing myself for its contents.

it's in the original writing section, posted it about 40 minutes ago?

The date on the inside of the letter indicated it had been writiten about two days ago, and Mer stood patiently as she heard the sounds of the envelope being ripped open.

'Whose it from?'

"It's from Syd..." I read it over.

She felt her ribcage constrict at the girl's name, now more curious than ever. do i want to know?

Word after word opened the wounds left by her death but closed them as well. I didn't realize I had such an impact on her by merely believing in her. I had always known she had goodness, despite how deep it was buried. Was it truly not so obvious to all others?

Regardless, I'll follow the last of her wishes to the letter.

"Do, you want to read it?"

Folding the letter neatly I tug it into my front pocket, "Of course I understand."

I slap my forehead, "Forgive me, I always forget. You have such insight I think sometimes you see more than the rest of us."

ooc and ic 'I think the truly blind are the ones who rely on their sight too much, they dull themselves to their other senses.' a smile tugged at the corners of her lips, but a proper one wasn't going to form on her face anytime soon.

She blinked back her tears, considering. Her sister had just been confused all this time, Meredia wished she'd known sooner..

'It sounds to me you gave her hope again, just one person was enough to make her realize she isn't such a bad person.' she felt calmer, as if a weight had been pulled from her shoulders.

Her sister had died happily, willingly even. 'I should be thanking you too.'

"You don't have to thank me, I was just doing what I could." Even in mourning modesty was still a virtue of which I adhered.
