Tomb of Predilection

Subject: Tomb of Predilection Fri Oct 12, 2012 4:42 am

-An island out in the Pacific Ocean that houses a large underground tomb for person or persons unknown. While the occupants of this desolated crypt is unknown, the legend surrounding it is.-

-According to tale, the island housed a person's dearest desire and wishes. Why and how this tomb came to be is unknown, nor is it known why treasure hunters stir clear of it.-

-There have been rumors of a mysterious guard that keeps the wealth of the tomb hidden from the rest of the earth.-

Descole had his sword drawn, his eyes narrowed as he walked toward the famed tomb.

A mere investigation.
Purely scientific, of course. Nothing with the Ministry. It was an interesting place, and since no one had ever really gotten into it, it would be a lovely place to excavate.

-Located a few feet within the tomb was a larger crater, still enclosed by the stone of the island's cavern. At the bottom of the cavern was but a pedestal and a very strange man sitting indian style atop it.-

-He wasn't particularly impressive looking. About 5 foot, short, not too muscular. But he had an air about him of calmness and omniscience. All his movements seem to not even disturb the air around him.-

"And yet another man comes seeking the treasure..."

The man pulled some scientific equipment from his belt, moving carefully toward the tomb, exhaling slowly.

"... Let's see.... most likely booby traps... wouldn't be surprised..."

"No, it's just me..." -Nonchalantly, he opens up a book and starts reading it. His tone was one of recitation and overall disinterest in the new man.-

Descole paused, glancing at the strange man now- how could he have missed him?
Must be loosing his touch...

"Oh, well.... interesting. Good evening.."

-I continue reading and then look up at him. "Hmm... what? Oh yeah lovely..." -I return to my book, losing my interest in him once more.-

Descole scowled past his mask, allowing himself to relax, his cloak settling over his limbs as he took a step a bit deeper in the tomb.

"Well... I'll be on with my business.."

"Sorry new man, looking for the treasure isn't that simple."

Descole lifted his eyes to the stranger again, wrinkling his nose.

"Oh...?"

Descole narrowed his eyes and scoffed quietly, shaking his head.

"... forget this, I don't have time for this."

-With another word, I spring forward toward him and try to land a kick on him while still reading the book with one hand.-

Descole side-stepped, surprised at the attack, swinging his sword at the stranger.

"You've got a hell of a lot of nerve..."

"This fight is not about knowing me, it's about knowing you..." -I jump up in time to dodge the sword.-

Descole smirked, brandishing his sword at the side.

"Silly little man you are. My name is Jean Descole. I come here for scientific research and archaeology excavation."

"Names names names... that's all anyone seems to talk about when when asked about themselves..."

-I pull my wand out of my sleeve.-

Descole rolled his eyes under his mask, wrinkling his nose as he tensed, readying for attack.

"I'm a high-stationed auror in the Ministry of Magic, known well for my ability of taking down Death Eaters and followers of the Dark Lord..."

Descole held up his sword in defence, deflecting the spell to the ground.

He cursed to himself, scowling.
"Come on, now... don't tell me you're one of them..?"

"And I'm getting to know you."

Descole shrugged slightly, scowling and shaking his head.

"Well, it seems very rude for you to know about me, but me to be clueless about you..."

"Then fight me. Fighting is the only way you really know someone. But I guess my name is Raziel, guardian of this tomb."

Descole smirked.

"I like you already, Raziel..."

The man moved a hand to his belt, pulling off a metallic device and pulling a pin from it, throwing it to the air and pressing a few buttons on his belt.

"So, tell me.... What's within this tomb that I shouldn't get, mm..?"
