Little Hangleton

Little Hangleton is a fictional Muggle village notable as the place of origin of Voldemort's maternal and paternal ancestors, and as the place where he was restored to bodily form in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Although the village first appears in Goblet of Fire, the fourth volume in the series, it is not described until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth volume.
The village occupies the floor of a valley, bounded by steep hills, not far from the larger settlement of Great Hangleton. Above the village on one side of the valley are a church, a cemetery and the Riddle House, the former home of the Riddle family and at one time the finest house in the village. It first appears in the opening of Goblet of Fire as the location of Frank Bryce's murder; and at this point in the chronology of the Harry Potter series, it is decrepit and covered in vines. It is believed to be held by a "rich man" (most likely Lucius Malfoy) for tax purposes, although this is in reality to keep it from being sold or torn down.
During his time as student, Tom Marvolo Riddle murdered his father and grandparents in the house.
On the opposite side of the valley, the only dwelling appears to have been the dilapidated cottage which was the home of the Pure-blooded, anti-social descendants of Salazar Slytherin, the Gaunt family. The Gaunt cottage is set in a copse alongside a winding road which climbed out of the valley. In Goblet of Fire, Voldemort and Harry fight in the graveyard of Little Hangleton.

He awoke, his eyes blinking open, on the wet pavement of a side street in Little Hangleton, his face pressed against the cool ground. His eyes widened and he rolled onto his side to look at the roof above him and groaned in pain, his hand going his side. It came back red. He cursed in Russian, fumbling for a packet of herbs in his pocket. He chewed them and then stuck the herbs to the wound, he winced. At least it would stop it from bleeding - and relieve some of the pain.
Ivor Morozov got to his feet, grunting. His recent missions hadn't been so easy. Someone was clearly informing his targets on when he'd be there. He pressed himself against the wall, moving quietly along. The rooftops weren't safe at the moment. He pulled his hood back up and changed back into the appearance of just a boy going for a stroll. People pushed past him, bumping his side, making him grimace. He'd have to get lost in the crowd. He glanced up to the roof where a man stood, looking, searching for an assassin. Searching for Ivor Morozov.
Ivor shoved his hands in his pockets and looked back down, wandering along with the bustling crowd, his eyes watching closely from under his hood. He pulled out his wand, muttering, "Scopus Homenum Revelio." All the other people seemed like shadows to him and he moved through them towards the direction his target was in.
The man in question was wandering around the market place, seeming to think he'd be safe with hired guards on the rooftops. He laughed with a shopkeeper, admiring the expensive wears on display and leered at girls. Ivor gathered a shard in his hand, his red eye staring at the man intently as he brushed behind him. He took out a purse, taking out money and scattering the coins on the paved stones as a distraction. People ran to grab them, unable to control their greed, the shop keeper turned to look and during that moment Ivor Morozov slid the shard over the man's throat, muttering, "peace find you." He uttered a confundus charm on those close by, and slid away back through the crowd, his hand going to his wounded side.

-He apparates, hoping the others are close behind-

She lands next to Jay and looks around, she finally rests her gaze on him, "Ready?"

-Apparates close behind-

-He smiles at Rhiannon- Of course. -He begins to walk into the village. Jay glances over at Frank- So... what made you want to join?

-lying- Oh ah.. blood purity of course...

"What's your family name then?" She asks casually, studying the little town. She wrinkled her nose. "Reeks of muggle here."

Hopkirk... Frank Hopkirk...

-Jay sighs and puts an arm around Rhiannon- Don't worry, my dear, we'll be out of here soon enough. -He looks over at Frank, eyebrows raised- I see.

"Hope so... Do you know where we're going?" She knew exactly what it was she was looking for, just not the location.

Why don't we start by finding the gaunts house?

She frowns at Frank. "Nahhh, really?" She rolls her eyes and looks about again. "Now tell me where that is."

Sounds good... -He looks around, frowning- I've never been to this village before... Do either of you have a better idea of where the house is?

-Points in a direction- I believe it's over this way...

Lead on, Frank... I've no idea where I'm going. -He looks around, humming to himself-

"Well then, off we skip." The walk in the direction Frank had pointed. She made sure she was out of hearing distance of Frank before she whispered in Jay's ear, "Please tell me I'm not the only one being completely pissed off by this guy?"

-I start walking ahead of them, leading them to the place, should I ambush them now... they seem onto me... I'll wait a little bit... just see how things play out-

-He laughs quietly and lowers his voice- Glad I'm not the only one. -Glances at his back- He seemed pretty jumpy when you asked him about his surname...

"Maybe he's just defensive? Nervous of what we're about to do? I dunno."

-Jay shrugs- Only he can tell... What about you? You nervous? -He smiles mischievously-

-They're onto me... I need to keep my cover until I get the information...-

"No, I've got you as my human shield, I'll be sweet as." She smiles pleasantly up at him.

-He chuckles- Don't let me steal all the fun... You need to enjoy yourself as well. -Jay looks up and calls ahead to Frank- How much further? -Watches him carefully-

Right up ahead... -I point at the Gaunt residence, a desolate and flithy place-
