"You wish to reprimand these intruders yourself?" I ask him mildly puzzled but also comforted I didn't have to get my hands dirty with the other one. But I do want the Strayer for myself.

"I'm saying I'm one of the only people who can actually stand up to a Strayer. You, on the other hand, should be put down for what you've done. You think that's chivalrous, to take one down so... cruelly? Typical of a pathetic person like yourself..."

The man gave a half smirk, shooting a short look toward Crest and Sam, one that hid a 'it'll be okay' look.

"I gave you an order, Smith. And unless you want me as an enemy, I suggest you obey it.."

I get down to the floor, gently helping Crest up, my eyes still red and watery.

Smith: I back up a little bit, having heard of Descole's abilities from our files.

Crest: I smile at Sam, I can't believe Descole of all people is helping me of all people.

Keep up the act, Jean.... it'll be worth it...

The man kept his eyes locked on Smith, the wolves staying in their spot as he paced around to stand with his back to the couple, to keep his sword on Smith.

"One wrong move, I'll run you through, you hear?"

Now he turned his head toward Crest. His expression help the pure message of-

I nod to Descole ever so smally and take Sam's hand and run for the door.

I can't believe it, the man I had loathed for several years... now the reason not only me but more importantly Sam were allowed to live.

I run with Crest, smiling. We're finally getting out of here.

A small smile snaked over Descole's lips as he closed his eyes momentarily in relief.

"Now, Smith... what do we do with you...? You could make a lovely dessert for my wolves...."

The creatures wagged their tails slightly, lowing their heads and licking their chops in slobbery anticipation for orders from their master.

"or I could erase your memory... or perhaps even use some new inventions on you- you know, I dew have some interesting machines right on my belt that could easily get rid of you.."

Crest: "Let's get out of here..."

Smith: "I don't think that is a good idea, Mr. Descole. For you see, Cayden in my eyes is no better than yourself. I'd prefer to avoid any ugliness. I have no qualms about... doing what is necessary."

I nod in agreement.

I take her hand, still not believing what had happened but moments ago.

IC I nod at him, smiling, letting him know I'm ready to go.

"Auror Cayden is a respectable woman who will do what's right. You, on the other hand, have no idea of the full truth and thus cannot make a correct judgement..."

A deep inhale, Descole's smirk vanished.

"And besides, you know how I am about... doing what's necessary.."

Crest: I disapparate us to Eagle HQ, our mission was completed. I'm a bit surprised it went so well, all things considered.

Smith: I pick up my sunglasses off the floor and put them on, "Cayden helped to aide two fugitives escape and it seems you have as well."

"Besides, why would you help the Strayer? You know he's filth, he has no care for you."

A long grin now spread it's way over Descole's lips.

"... Why did I help a filthy Strayer...? .... Oh, dear friend, that is something you will never know. Their family remains who they are- nothing but silly men trying to play police.... and anyway, he was causing them trouble. We can always go on a rabbit hunt later..."

"I had them right at my mercy. I could've just reached across this table and strangled the life from him."

Descole commented, sheathing his sword and whistling to his wolves, kneeling to their level to pet them when they bounded over to him and covered him with slobbery kisses.

"... what fun is there in that? Besides, if we track them, we might get a chance at poisoning the others. Getting them rid of, as well. Correct?"

"I know not if you're bluffing... that disturbs me." However my mind was churning with possibilities of complete Strayer annihilation.

"Bluff....? Me?"

The man gave a laugh, drying his face and straightening, allowing his arms to fall underneath his cape, a smug and almost borderline insane smirk on his face.

"I like to keep people on their toes. Do not hold this against me, Smith. There are plans deeper than you even know lying behind my actions."

"As you know, I don't believe anyone."

"But I best hope you're not making a fool of me. Cayden is much older than I am if you catch my meaning."

Descole's expression darkened, and he felt himself tense ever so slightly.

"I assure you I am not... I am not that kind of man, Smith..."

"Good... then you are dismissed." I take a seat to organize the papers that had scattered since the fight had broken out.

Descole smirked rather lazily at the man, whistled after his wolves, and left in an orderly and calm manner.

Crouch: The Ministry... oh how I so loathe this temple of corruption and arrogance. I'd have half a mind to destroy this entire place right here and now, and it's taking every singular fiber in my being to control myself.

Eugene: I arrive with Jack, and admittedly I can't say I'm fond of this place. Phoenix had been put on trial here so many times.

Arriving hear with Eugene and the device, I look around frantically, a grin coming to my face when I spot Crouch. I carefully hold him in his place with my mind, pointing the gun-like invention at him. "Prepare to die, Crouch.."
