Koller family's flat

-I look at Potion and laugh at myself and then correct my hands sign.-

Mrs. Koller smiled to them.-So, I will go and prepare table for lunch now.-she walked out, and Potion and Mr. Koller walked out with her. Right when they left, Suzanne Koller, who was standing by the doors whole time, walked in and just nodded to Topher.

-I look over at Suzanne and nod back- "You're her sister, right?"

Unfortunately.-she sighed, looking at him.-Can I ask you a question?

-Oh boy...- "Sure what's up?"

She frowned a bit.-Even with that whole 'criminal' thing, you serm like okay guy to me. So how the HELL can you date a girk like her?

"I date a gal like your sister because she never quit on me for any reason. On the streets, practically everyone I met left me once they found out about my background or my... talents. Poti... Martin knew about both but she still had faith in me. She is the greatest gal I've ever met, and if ya just let her explain, you'd see it too."

Explain what? How she destroyed our family?!-she scowled.-There are some things that she probably haven't told you, Topher.-

"You mean about the accident, repeat accident, with ya brother? Try me."

She looked a bit suprised for a moment, she never thought that Potion would tell someone about that, but she frowned very soon again.-She is a freak, Topher. All of you are. She killed him, and it certainly wasn't an accident. I loved my brother more than anything. I took care of him, while she was always doing nothing, but she was still the more loved daughter. And then she took him away from me, the only thing I cared about. Could you forgive someone that?

"Nah, probably not. But ya got it all wrong. Ya see, magic is VERY difficult to control from a young age. Hell, I'm not that much better. My dad died causea me. Same reason. We didn't mean to do it. and she was CRUSHED!"

"Ya want to know what she told me once?"

She was listening to him, and then she raised her eyebrow.-What?-

"She told me that she didn't WANT ya parents to be so kind to her. She felt she didn't deserve it. She was depressed day in and day out, like me. But then we found each other and yeah you get the picture. But the fact remains, that death ruined her as much as ya, I won't say more than ya cause I don't have all the facts, but it did destroy her."

"And ya tormentin' her with it ain't helpin' her much."

She was watching him for few seconds, and then she raised her eyebrow.-Are you sure in that? She really felt that way?

"Okay, I know I lied about my background, but I swear on my old man's grave." -Honesty rings in my voice.-

She nodded, and it was obvious that she felt wrong.-I always thought that she was emotionless and empty. But if it really is as you say...-

"It is, every damn word. It almost hurt ME how much she was hurt. She could only admit it to me and her friend Arty."

She was silent for a second.-Do you think I should apologize to her?

-Gee, apologize for putting my girlfriend through hell? No shit sherlock!-

-In a friendly tone I say- "Yeah, I think that'd be best."

But she will never forgive me.-she shook her head.

"Ya she will. Believe me she's forgiven me for a LOOOTTTT of things..."

She raised her eyebrow.-Like what? You didn't hurt her, right?-
Suzanne felt weird cause after all this time for the first time she felt protective of her sister.

"Well... sorta-kinda-but-not-really. Here's the deal, I have an ability that's hard to control too. She has gone hurt before by it. MINOR stuff I promise you! And... some other things, but that's a story for another time..."

She nodded.-Alright then, I won't ask more.-
Right then, Mrs. Koller walked in and invited them all in kitchen.

-I go inside, thankful for the interruption.-
