'Well i was stupid enough to try and push you away.' she grumbled and hid her face in his neck, her brown ringlets covering her expression.

'But you were smart enough to bring me back.' He whispered, stroking her hair.

she nodded, kissing his neck before she buried her face again. 'Still an idiot...'

'Both of us.' she laughed softly, still holding onto him. 'Me for cheating and you for forgiving me.'

'Well...' He raised her chin up and kissed her solfty. 'seems like we are a perfect couple for eachother.'

She smiled again, but it had lost most of its sarcasm. 'I would say i'm not going to let you down, but that's what i said before...' she frowned.

'Sounds like a plan....' she looked over at the mirror. 'Shouldn't we smash it?' Amaya reached for her weapons belt.

He looks at it. 'If this is what you want. if you want me. the way i am now. then do it.'

'I want you as you are, obviously, did you even need to ask?' she walked up to it.

He smiles. 'Then smash it.'

Without looking, she thrust her footwards, hearing the glass splintering. She repeated this motion, letting out her anger, her guilt, into it's destruction.

As the mirror shatteres, he could almost hear the ghosts of the people locked in there, good and evil. he smiled- it was like a weight being lifted. he walked up behind Amaya. 'Thank you.'

She turned around and kissed him fiercly, cupping his face between her hands. 'Don't you ever scare me like that again.'

'I wont. I promse.' He kissed her back, then picked her up off the floor, away from all the broken glass.

She felt strange in his arms, a good strange though. Amaya slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. 'At least one of us keeps promises...'

surprisingly, those were the words she'd needed to hear, and she relaxed instantly. 'I trust you too, remember that.' Amaya reached up and ran a thumb accross his cheek.

He smiles, still carrying her, making his way over to the small bed. he puts her down on the edge and looks at her. the snake climbs up his arm and he picks it up, putting it carefully beside her. 'I didnt...' He shakes his head. 'Are you sure i didnt ruin it?'

She placed the snake in her hands, letting it coil around her own arms. 'Absolutely certain.'

'Yup, all my fault.' she laughed quietly at herself, hiding the guilt creeping into her expression again. Just get over it woman.
