I make a wild leap in the general direction of my wand, cursing my lack of planning. I reach forwards but the spell hits and I freeze before I can do anything.

Is there any chance of leaving on foot with my pride intact? I doubt it. It looks like I'll have to apparate out if I want to leave.

I disapparate quickly, heading home to the Hawkeye mansion.

I don't feel any triumph in this fight. He didn't fall to my own power. In fact, it was his own! I can't tell the Hawkeyes what really happened... they'll think I'm weak.

Well, this wasn't worth the trip.

Well sometimes it's smarter to run, Archimedes didn't have any regard for his own self so it caused him to make decision calls in which he never took himself into account.

Gloria considered herself to be essential to her group and she while she'd prefer to settle a fight properly, she'd flee if it saved her.
