Quidditch Pitch

He laughed. "You should see it from the air."

"Yeah, I'm a chaser for Gryffindor. My dad's also a quidditch player, chaser for the Bulgarian National team."

"Yeah, I always wanted to be like my dad when I was a kid, and then I just fell in love with the sport." He shrugged. "I think I'm addicted."

He looked at her, shocked. "Nothing?" He couldn't believe that she didn't have any hobbies at all. "There must be something."

'Oh wait!' she snapped her fingers, smiling brightly. 'I make my own spells, I sometimes wonder why I'm not in Ravenclaw, all i do is read...'

"Cool! Can I see one?" he asked, excited. He'd never known someone to make their own spells.

He walked out onto the empty pitch and began stretching before jumping on his broom.

When he was all warmed up he hopped on his broom and began doing laps. After three laps around the pitch he began making complicated twists and turns.

He paused in the middle of the pitch. It was an abnormally hot day and the sweater that he was wearing was making him sweat already. He did a quick scan of the pitch. Only seeing one person, who didn't seem to be paying attention did he have the confidence to take off his sweater.

He threw the wad of cloth down to the ground and began doing more flips.

He lowered himself down a bit and bewitched a quaffel to fly around as if carried by other players.

He chased after it and made a good save near the Slytherin stands.

It was in that moment that she spotted it: A flash of black against his relatively pale skin, the sign she'd grown to recognise on her own arm.

The mark of Lord Voldemort.

He must be an ex-Death Eater...he wouldn't be so embaressed about it otherwise. How fascinating. For now Donia continued to observe him, pretending to fiddle with her wand. I'll have to ask him a few questions.

He continued to chase around the enchanted ball. After thirty minutes of twisiting and turning he finally caught the ball for the final time and removed the spell.

He began to lower himself to the ground slowly.

'Tide!' She called out to him, finally trying to capture his attention. Donia wasn't a fan of waiting.

He looked up at the person that was sitting in the stands, only to realize that it was Donia. He waved and smiled at her, hoping that she was far enough to not make out his Dark Mark.

'Come over here a second!' she called over to him again, waving politely back with gloved fingers. Donia feigned blissful ignorance, pulling her hood down also.

He held up one hand. "Be there in a sec."

He grabbed a towel and wiped his forehead and neck free of sweat. He pulled his sweater back on, even though he was burning up.

Taking a calming breath he jumped on his broom and flew over to her. "Hey, what's up?"

'Nothing much, just wanted to wish you luck for the match against Slytherin tomorrow, i'm certainly rooting for you.' she laughed softly, hood now pulled back. Donia pointed to his own sweater, frowning.

'Bit hot for that, isn't it?' she just wanted to see what excuse he'd make, refraining from smirking.

He looked down at his sweater, the wool itching his skin. "Yeah, um, I got cold. Y'know going 50 miles per hour up there, you get cold."

Stupid, Tide! You can't even make up a decent lie.
