Lewis thought about this for a moment.

"What you say is true, but there are many people who have differing opinions; many people have told me I am not human..."

Can I be considered human anymore?

It was his turn to examine Lewis now, poking the boy's cheeks. 'Human skin, human voice, human origins... what not human about you?' he seemed unaffected still, clearly in a tolerant and good mood.

"But to some people it's not all about appearances; to some it's about your soul, or lack there of."

ic 'one cannot simply extract your soul, it not bound to body but it not tangible either. You would not be here without soul.'

Lewis sat up at the remark.

"And yet," He gestured with his hands as if presenting himself, keeping a straight face the entire time "Here I am."

'Soul and emotions different.' he stated cleanly, the fact absolute in his mind. 'One can exist without other. It not possible to take soul. Emotions yes, soul no.'

Lewis had grown bored of this conversation. He badly wanted to return to his nap, but that would be rude to Axel. He held up his hand to signal Axel to stop.

"Sorry, but this debate is getting rather philosophical for my tastes." It was the best excuse he could come up with; he was too drowsy to think straight right now.

'ok.' Axel rose to his feet, not seeming to care in the slightest. Without another comment, the boy just strode out, searching for one of his friends.

Lewis was surprised.

That was easier than I thought...

Lewis proceeded to climb back to the ceiling, balancing various pieces of furniture on top of one another in order to do so. He grabbed the ceiling support with his right arm, while also twisting his legs around it.

Let's try something different.

Lewis began sucking on his thumb; he liked to experiment and see what was the best way to sleep. It didn't take long for him to doze off.

The furniture stack Lewis had made fell into itself. Lewis was undisturbed by this, and continued to sleep.

Walking down to my next class, I can't help but hope to find Donia again.

Lewis heard someone enter the common room; he was awoken by the sound of the door slamming shut.

Not again.

He removed his thumb from his mouth and looked down to see who had disturbed his sleep this time.

"Oh, hello Matthew." Lewis called from his resting place on the ceiling.

"hello Lewis! What are you doing up there?"

"Just taking a nap."

Lewis didn't climb down just yet; he didn't expect this conversation to last long.

"That sounds nice, did I interrupt it?"

"I'd say so, yes."

Lewis was now dangling from a single arm, slowly being swung side to side by the small breeze that filled the room.

"Oh. my apologies, I'll leave you in peace."

"If you want to stay, it's fine. I just don't feel like having another argument with you about 'the human soul' etc.; I've already lost one of those arguments today."

Lewis began to climb down again.

It's hard when the furniture keeps falling over.

"With whom, may I ask?"

Lewis landed safely on his bed. It was so comfy; he wanted to sleep more. But he had a guest.

"Axel, I believe his name was."

"I'll have to talk with him some time, maybe he'll agree with me."

I just can't win here.

"He probably will," He was uncomfortably close to Matthew now "From what I can tell your opinions seem pretty similar."

I take a small step back, "Well that's good." I smile trying to keep things pleasant.
