Joachim's New Inn

To replace the much smaller establishment that Joachim bought himself a long time ago, this new inn is an update by every standard.

Joachim, dressed in a business suit, was sitting down with a lot of people at one of his poker tables. He still couldn't believe that wealth was no longer a problem for him. Sure, he had the side project of hunting Crouch down but now he had people to do that!

No wonder crime lords work so hard to stay in business, who would give up this lifestyle?

IC He had gained entrance into the inn, how wasn't of concern, and he sought out Joachim. He wanted to check up on the crime lord in his new position of power.

After winning a hand, he looks up and waves Death over, "Hey there! Deathy my main man! Join me!"

"Still as tight as a nun huh?" He rolled his eyes at him as he looked over at him, "and I'm awesome! I'm rich, I'm powerful and I'm lovin' it! Couldn't have done it without ya buddy boy!"

He gestures to the dealer, "So play a quick hand?"

He sighed at this boy's foolishness. "Crouch, is being taken care of, and I am no one's bitch. I also know that I am not in charge of you. However, I do know that I can easily put you back into your place if that is necessary. Do not underestimate me Joachim. I will make you regret it." His voice was steady in cold calculation.

"Hey hey hey, now buddy boy. No need to get hostile. We're all friends here..." He gestured around him to some of the larger men that were stationed around the place.

"Or at least, you're friends with me. And my friends are their friends... just saying."

"Honestly dude, Did you and Riv just play bingo on your honeymoon or something? How'd you become such a hard ass?"

"Reality check," was his reply. He looked around at the guys in the room. Motioning to a chair he asked, "Can I play in the next game?"

"Be my guest..." He fixed the sleeves of his suit, checking to see if the extra aces he had were still tucked in there.

"I'm serious though, don't know how you get a number like River and not do anything about it..." Joachim gave a lecherous smirk as the cards were dealt.

The cards were handed out, "You know Texas Hold 'Em I take it?" Joachim looked at his hand and saw a ace and a three. His hand started to slow creep into his sleeve to better his odds.

The flop came out and the cards were a jack, a ten, and an ace. Joachim kept his poker face as he looked down to see what his sleight of hand had done. Three of a kind.

OOC it's been so long since I've played a card game I've forgotten most of it so Imma half-ass this

IC His hand wasn't anything good, just a bunch of random cards that couldn't help him against anything really. He knew he'd lose this hand for sure.
