Joachim's Inn

'I dnt know, jaochim, but...it cant have been her.'

"Tell you what... let me think for a bit..."

'sure.' She says softly, walking off

Joachim filled the room with smoke as he thought. He thought for many minutes, and then recalled an old trick his dad taught him.

The bait and switch. 

Basically, make something far too tempting to ignore and then swallow up the sucker and take what they have. Joachim used this trick countless times on countless dupes. 

But now, if his suspicions were confirmed... 

"HEY LUCY!"

'WHAT?' She yelled up to him. 'I am meant to be working!'

"Go check on my uncle, see if he needs help checking out..." He smirked to himself. His uncle made it perfectly clear that he wasn't going anywhere. However because he needed to have Joachim believe in him, he couldn't rob the place anymore because Krystal took the fall for it. So therefore, his only move was leaving.

'With pleasure.' She grinned, walking off and knocking on the uncles door. 'Sir.' she said sweetly. 'Just coming to make ure you dont need help packing or anything?'

"Thanks doll but I'm all good here..." Sure enough the man was packing his things in a suitcase.

'Are you sure? I can take the bags to the door for you...'

"Hmm, well I guess it couldn't hurt, come on in cupcake..."

She steps into the room, frowning. 'Please stop calling me those stupid sexist names. Use my name, or nothing.'

"What? It's affectionate!" Teivel shrugged as he picked up some of his bags.

Joachim waited near the front door, "Hey uncle, heading out?"

"Yeah sorry kiddo, got some things I need to do..." Teivel ruffled his nephew's hair but Joachim grabbed his wrist.

"You're now awfully busy for a guy who's been lounging in my inn for a month or so, ain't ya? Hey Lucy, care to open his bag?"

She smiles, opening the bag and tipping the contents on the floor

Sure enough, out spilled the money from Joachim's inn.

"And they say Krystal was the detective..." Joachim looked at his uncle angrily, "What happened to honor among thieves..."

"What happened to it, never existed Chimmy..." Teivel stared back into his nephew's eyes, "Life's just a game to get ahead of the next guy, play to win, no rules..."

'Krystal knew.' Lucy said, looking at Joachim. 'She just didnt want to hurt you.' She turned to face his uncle. 'You...your...dispicable. How can you steal from your own family?'

"Pretty easily actually..." Teivel shrugged and turned to leave but then Sawyer stepped in his way.

"Yeah hey Sawyer, can you rough him up a bit? Beat him till he screams uncle!" Joachim told him.

lucy took a step away. 'Im....going to go back to work. If your going to do that.'

"Hang on a sec, hey lucy, know where krystal might've headed off to?"

She shakes her head. 'Sorry joachim. i have no idea.'

"Well thanks anyway, I'd keep away from the back room...."

'ok. ill...keep everyone ese away as well. But joachim? You need to find Kry.'

"I'm on it..." Joachim ran out as Sawyer took  his uncle to the back room and locked the door.

lucy watched him go before shking her head and going back to the bar.
