| I liked Tim's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory simply because I haven't ever seen the original so I have nothing to compare it to. | |

| You have no where to talk Mr. Never-Seen-Corpse-Bride.
I find that I don't like a lot of originals if I saw the remake first.

| Same way you never saw SW until we met! Sorry folks, but nothing beats Original Wonka (although admittedly the chocolate fountain looked better in Burton's version) | |

| Things I'm getting sick of in movies:
5. Parts 1-2 for last movies Look, when Harry potter did it, it was justified because it had so much ground to cover and it had to get in as much detail as possible. But did Twilight need it? No. It's gone from a smart way to preserve details to a gimmick that I'm sick of.
4. Turning remakes into war movies If you've seen Oz, great and powerful or Tim Burton's Alice in wonderland you know what I mean. This just annoys me to no end. It's kind of what ruined those movies for me. I found myself constantly shouting in my head, "I DONT CARE!!" I would've much rather explored the worlds of Oz and Wonderland respectively. I mean both films look amazing and have talented people working on it, but that doesn't amount to much if I don't care about the story.
3. Bows and Arrows Stop that. One, bows and arrows aren't that great a weapon. Two, they're overused now.
2. Mockumentaries I know why people like this style but I really can't stand it. I want to be able to see what is happening. a little shaky cam can be good but using it too much makes me completely tune out of the movie.
1. Remakes Hey, remember when original ideas were on screen? NEITHER DO I!!! We live in a world where we can make all this amazing stuff, like inception. And we're constantly squandering all this potential with things we've seen before instead of something new.
And why are we doing this? I'll tell you exactly why. Money. It's an ensured profit! Movies are supposed to be an art form dammit! The money is a nice prize but it's supposed to be an escape put of reality, or to express the world through the writers eyes. But we're ruining this artistic medium for as quick buck!! Just!! Gah!!!

| For those of you who don't know, I work at an animal hospital in data entry/customer service/IT technician. I input hundreds of pet and owner info into our database a week and among the "Princess"s, "Toby"s, ect. I find a few gems that make my nerd heart happy. For instance, yesterday I input someone who named their pets "Percy" and "Nico". Another named their pet "Luke Skywalker".
These rare encounters of nerdy pet names make my job worth it. It gives me hope that pet names aren't all the same. There is still some people out there who strive for uniqueness.
