PostSubject: Forum Clean Up?   Forum Clean Up? EmptyWed Aug 28, 2013 7:18 pm

Right, guys.
I'm hoping you've all read Crouch's Graduation thread. If not. Go and read it.

This is another change for the forum, but it doesn't have to go ahead. Its just my mild OCD/ me getting annoyed when I cannot find the thread I want.

I will try to explain as best as I can...

So on the forum home page, we have the 4 main groups, and currently, when you click on them, it takes you to all the threads in that section. This means sometimes you have go through half the page before finding the one you want.

I thought that we could make some mini sections within the main groups.
For example, you click onĀ
'Inside of hogwarts'
and you can get these links

  • common rooms
  • Classrooms
  • outside the castle

and then inside these you get the threads.
so on 'Outside of hogwarts' you could have

  • Towns/villages
  • the Minisry of magic (inside this could be threads for the different department)
  • families homes.

(i have no clue if i am making sense right now. i know what im talking about)

As well as this, all the 'locked' threads could be put into an 'Archived' section, so they are still there, but tucked away for if we want to go back and read them.

so....yeah.
Just an idea.

I just took a look around the changes you made, and personally, I really like them! There's so much more breathing room I feel, it's so much easier to find current pages!

Kudos on a great renovation!

I personally am fine if you go ahead and make the different sections! It'll be nicer to have them a bit more separated, I think.
