"You may not believe but I know better than to underestimate you this time..." He swished his wand at some dead bodies of his recently slain victims, transforming them into inferni which staggered toward River.

'Finally.' I mutter, stepping back, hitting the dead with small fireballs.

The creatures persisted, a few being staggered by the fireballs, but they kept moving forward desperately to kill for their master.

"You will find the dark arts are not to be taken lightly. You may skirt the edge of the shadows, but I AM the shadows..."

'But the thing about shadows is that the minute light appears, it burns to nothing. Lumous Maxima!'
The second the lgiht appeared, I threw up a wall of fire around me, knowin it would burn anything trying to get past

Sure enough the monsters were soon burnt to a crisp in a display of screaming, deathly growls.

Crouch was fuming at the lose of his minions, "You know you're not supposed to live when I do that, you're supposed to do the other thing..."

'and you just said you didnt underestimate me.'

"Perhaps it's time to use 100% then..."

'i am your sister, crouch. unsuprisingly, i can be just as smart as you. like...not dying.'

He placed his wand atop his arm, "Here's one I haven't used in quite a long time.... perhaps you remember it?" He smiled deviously at her. It was true that it had been a long time since he used his Wand Hand spell, however the risk were nonetheless diminished. While he could access 100% of his magical power briefly, prolonged use could very well kill him.

I tilt my head to the side. 'So....you would risk your own death for mine? what is the point of that, crouch?'

"Basically, this battle decides everything. Only my master can show the truth of this pathetic little world and wipe out the ones who wronged me. And for that end, I'd risk my life a thousand times over and a thousand times again!"

'You really think Voldemort cares about you and your revenge? Crouch... he is using you, he does not care. Why can you no see that?'

"Of course he cares, he gave me a life River, he gave me power!!! Power is the only thing you need in this world... with power you can change things. For better or worse... and I'd love to change things for worse for them." 

"Why do you not?"

'Power has ruined you. Power is nothing but a form of abuse, you should know that with the power our father held over us.'

"And now look where he is now because our power was greater. I almost regret him being dead, it would've been much sweeter to see his face when I go and destroy everything he loved..."

"Hate made me this powerful... more powerful than you..." He let the wand meld into his arm, creepingly turning his flesh into the redwood that made up his arm. It started with his arm and worked it's way toward his entire body.
