Nott Cottage

A cottage in the English countryside surrounded by hills and trees, no neighbors for miles.

Mrs. Nott was sitting, straight backed, in a chair in the dining room. "Come now dear, he has been missing for over a year. Should we really be so worried? He's probably dead by now."

Mr. Nott was pacing, like usual, just a few feet from his wife. "Kevin isn't stable. I don't want my only son to be out there defensless."

His wife's laugh was cold and hard. "You don't care about Kevin. You never have. You've only cared about your reputation and what people would think if they found out you had a retarded son."

Healer Stacy spoke up for the first time in a while. "Mrs. Nott, your husband is right. It worries me that Kevin has been gone so long. We haven't seen him anywhere. It's been a year without his medication."

Mr. Nott nodded to Stacy. "Thank you." Turning back to his wife, who was now taking a sip of her wine, "We need to search harder. Get Kevin back to the treatment he needs."

Mrs. Nott made a disgusted noise in the back of her throat. "Fine, do what you wish. You always have. Find my mentally handicap son and bring him back. Lock him up like the crazy person he is." She turned and left the dining room without another word.

Amy looked at the cottage and then to Kevin "is this your home?"

He nodded. "I wonder if Healer Stacy is here." He opened the door and stepped inside. He walked through the foyer. No one seemed to be around. "Maybe not."

He waved Sapphire in. "Come on, my room's this way."

Healer Stacy was in Kevin's room studying his art work. He didn't seem depressed just before he took off, so why did he?

She followed Kevin her eyes sweeping along the house "so who do you live with besides Healer Stacy."

"Joshua and Seventeen live here with me. Harp and Temp come by every now and then." He shook his head. "I don't like it when they come by."

"who are Harp and Temp?" she looked at him curiously.

He stopped in the hall and looked at her. "They're bad. They make me do bad things."

Healer Stacy heard someone talking in the hallway. She opened the door to Kevin's room and peered down the hall.

There he was, just standing there talking so some girl. "Kevin?"

Kevin turned and smiled. "Hi Healer Stacy, look, I got a new friend. She's real too!"

She was absorbing what Kevin was saying about the other two people he saw, she wondered what all exactly they made him do, but she smiled brightly at the healer "hello there.. I'm Sapphire."

Healer Stacy walked past Kevin and shook Sapphire's hand. "Hello, I'm Healer Stacy, just like Kevin said. It's nice to meet you Sapphire." She looked at Kevin, addressing him now. "Kevin, where were you? You had me scared."

"I'm sorry Healer Stacy. I got bored. I hate it here. And Harp wouldn't leave me alone!"

Joshua appeared behind Kevin, scanning the hallway for any danger. "It's all clear, Harp ain't here man."

Seventeen clung to Joshua's arm. "I don't like it here Joshie. Can we leave?"

She shook the woman's hand lightly before letting go and gazing at Kevin "how come you don't like it here Kev?"

"Harp and Temp kept making me do bad things. Healer Stacy said I was getting better, but I wasn't"

Healer Stacy gasped, "Then why didn't you tell me Kevin? I told you to tell me when you see those two."

Sapphire looked between the two quiet for a moment, from what she could tell Kevin was schizo which meant that he would never be fully better. Simply that he would have good days and bad days, but she didn't voice this opinion instead she looked at the healer gently "think we could finish talking about this later? Kevin promised to show my the painting he did of Seventeen."

Healer Stacy nodded. She let Kevin by.

He grabbed Sapphire's hand and lead her to his room. He searched the closet for the painting and pulled it out. It looked exactly how Seventeen was in his mind. "What do you think?"

she smiled brightly looking the painting over "you're incredibly taleneted.. and Seventeen is so pretty!"

Seventeen beamed at Sapphire, despite her fear of the house. "Thank you."

Joshua kept looking down the hall and around the room, he just couldn't stay still. "Hurry up man, I got a bad feeling about this place."

"Seventeen says thank you." He smiled and put the picture back. "We need to go, Joshua says he doesn't like it here."

"you're quite welcome Seventeen.. and we can go. We came to see this incredible painting and that was all." She smiled sweetly at him.

OOC Shit's about to hit the fan

IC Healer Stacy shook her head. "Oh no, he's not leaving."

Kevin looked at her confused. "Why not? I don't like it here."

"Your parents are worried sick. You're sick! You need medication and constant care. You can't leave Kevin." Healer Stacy reached out to grab Kevin's arm. She addressed Sapphire, "Thank you for watching him, but he needs to stay here. Perhaps you can visit if Mr. and Mrs, Nott approve."

Temp appeared behind Kevin. She leaned over and whispered into Kevin's ear, "You don't want to stay here do you? No, you want to get out there into the world. I suggest you put up a fight. Healer Stacy isn't going to let you go otherwise."

Kevin looked to Joshua, who was standing just beside Sapphire.

Joshua nodded his head.

She looked at the healer and then to Kevin and back glaring slightly "how can you expect him to get better when this place creeps him out?"

Healer Stacy said, "If I get him the proper medication and up his dossage, he should be fine."

Kevin screamed and jerked his arm out of Healer Stacy's grasp. He pushed past Healer Stacy and Sapphire. He down the hall and out of the house. "No! I'm not staying here."

Temp was laughing maniacally.

She looked at the healer for a moment "its not all about the medication.. " it was all she said before taking off after Kevin.

He ran through the fields until he couldn't see the cottage anymore. He dropped to the round and pulled his knees up to his chest. He put his hands on either side of this head and began whimpering and crying like a beat dog. "No, I don't want to go back. Please don't take me back."

She stopped for a second eyes searching for him until she heard him "Kevin?" she walked up to him slowly her hand reaching out to touch his arm.

He was trembling head to foot. "Don't make me go back. I don't want to go back," he kept saying.

She knelt next to him, her arms circling him "I promise I wont make you go back.. you can come back to Hogwarts with me."
