OOC and IC "He never had ANYTHING handed to him, he had to take everything and just assumed that's what he'd have to keep doing."

'That's what i meant.' she waved a hand dismissively. 'His mentality needed to change for his survival, he would've figured it out on his own..'
Amaya trailed off, not understanding why she was undermining herself.

"I wouldn't have held too much faith in that myself..."

'And why does your opinion matter? It's not like you've spoken to weeks or anything, that i've been pretty much the only person here for him.' she returned to digging at him again, turning the focus from herself.

"Please tell me your reason for coming back isn't just to tear me a new one before the weddin'..."

'Love you too.' she retorted sarcastically. 'No, I'm back for Joachim. Someone's gotta keep his ass in line.' The girl actually cared about him more than she let on, probably to a greater scale than he cared for her..

but was she surprised? not really.

"Oh cool, well he's out and about. Ya know him. Probably liftin' some poor schmuck's wallet."

Her lips pressed into a thin line. 'I feel like his mother sometimes..' she shook her head. 'I'm also back for Bryn, been forced to sign up to the reunited family scheme.'

"So... I wasn't crazy when I saw him come back..." I ask her truly surprised.

ic 'Haven't you seen him wandering the school grounds? or is your head really that far up into the clouds?' she wondered how scatterbrained and unobservant people could really be.

"I saw him one time, but I was getting over havin' to put my dad in a box again! So forgive me if my perception has been in question recently." Normally a patient guy in this regard but my dad was a very touchy subject to me and having to fight him did a great deal of damage of my psyche.

She lifted her hands in surrender, trying to appease him. 'Relax Topher, I was making a joke, or are you going to turn into a humorless robot now you're getting married?'

I sigh and look at her apologetically, "Sorry, it's just.... that really messed with me."

'It's fine.' she exhaled, trying to muster up some sort of courage. 'I-I.. wish you the best for your wedding Topher, i really do. Potion'll make you happy.'

I blink in surprise but I smile at her, "Thank you very much."

I nudge her playfully, "Who knows? Maybe I'll have to do this to you and Chimmy some day." I laugh in good humor.

'And it might not end up with me signing papers.' she responded playfully, light-hearted. 'Seriously though, i think you and Potion will be great, but i understand if you don't want me to be there at ya wedding.'

"Ya can come if ya want, I was there at ya first wedding and I know neither me or Potion carry any grudges."

'Okay, i'll go if Joachim goes.' she compromised with herself, smiling gently. 'And i won't have my weapons, i promise.'

I smile at her, "It's okay, ya may need one if Joachim goes. He kinda hates the sort of people my mom surrounds herself with."

'So do i. Snobby people are ungrateful and forget the value of simpler things.' she stated calmly, like she was reading it from a textbook. 'but i don't let it consume me.'

"Well he might, and the last thing I need is him trying to rob the wedding... mum already disapproves of him."

'Is it going to be all fancy and overthetop?' she asked it as a general question, desiring to know the details before she went.

"Well... kinda... I mean, my mum planned it so..."

'Then you're kinda asking for it.' she said in her usual blunt tone. 'You may as well hold up a sign that says: 'Steal from us, we can afford it.''

"Not my fault my folks got rich doing..."

I stop and think for a few seconds, "Actually I have no idea how they got that wealth."
