For some reason, that information had wormed its way into the core of his mind, restlessly stirring up every niggle of panic, fear and worry he had ever felt. It was a parasite, infecting his thoughts, negating his feelings...
Why? Lukas found it impossible that he would actually give one ounce of a damn for the redhead, all he'd ever done was use her for his own plots. Besides, she was providing a distraction, an opportunity for him to create more chaos. Isn't that what he always strived for?
'The life of one may provide entertainment for many..' he muttered to himself, although somehow it seemed he didn't have all of his heart in his words.
The kitsune hadn't realized yet, but there was another motivation behind his feelings, one he thought he'd gotten rid of long ago, his arrogance had made him overlook it...
