He was walking back to River's room from the cafeteria (hey, he doesn't need to starve) when he heard her screaming. He broke out into a run and sprinted to her door. "What the hell's going on here!"

Strange room, strange woman. I didnt know where I was. I was terrified. And that was before the boy came in. I moved back in the bed, trying too make myself as small as possible, trying to dissapear. My screams cut off in to ragged sobs. 'Get away from me!'

He approached his wife cautiously. "Riv, it's me, your husband. Baby, please hide from me. I'm here to help you, so is she."

'No.' I shake my head. 'No. Your Lying. I dont know you!'

OOC You know what I meant.

IC "River. Don't be stubborn, you know me." He held up his left hand and showed her the ring on it. "You married me."

I grab his hand and look at the ring, aware of how much i was shaking. 'No...' I whisper. 'I dont know....no...' I spot something else on his arm and push him away. 'NO. your lying. You....you have a dark mark. GET AWAY FROM ME.'

"Yes, I'm a Death Eater. You knew that when you married me. River, I would never hurt you. I love you too much to harm you in any way. Please, please remember me."

OOC This isn't nearly as heart breaking as when he found out that she was terminally ill

I close my eyes, putting my hands over my ears. 'No no no no.'

Roise steped between them both. 'Sir... Your scaring her.'

He sighed and took a step back. "Riv...please..."

'She wont remember you.' Rosie said softly. 'Look...' She turned to river. 'Honey. I want to ask you some questions. Is that ok.

I look at her and nod slowly.

'Whats your name?'

'River Crouch..' I whisper, glancing between them both.

'What can you remember about your family?'

I frown. 'My father....hes a horrible man. Barty looks after me.'

He rubbed his face with his hand in frustration. "She doesn't remember," he whispered.

'Im sorry.' Rosie put her hand on his arm. 'She may not remember, but...in her heart, she still loves you. you can remind her...But in effect, you will be starting from the begining.' She sighs and stands. 'Ill leave you to talk to her. just call if...she gets worse.''

He nodded mutely and sat down in the chair beside River's bed. "You honestly don't remember me?" He looked over at her confused, frightened face. He instantly felt guilty that he'd put most of the terror there.

I shake my head, looking down at my hands. I notice my own ring and take it off, looking at it. 'How can i be married?'

"We fell in love and got married a year ago today. It's our one year anniversary." He laughed without much humor. "Happy anniversary, love."

'I dont remember. i dont remember you...' I roll over, my back facing him. 'why would i forget you if...if i oved you that much?'

OOC Ouch. That was hitting a bit below the belt.

IC His breath hitched at her words. "That was probably the harshest thing I've ever heard you say. I didn't know you were such a bitch when you were younger."

I stiffen. 'Are you sure its me you married?'

His eyes were cold as steel as he stared at her. "I'm not so sure anymore."

I watch him go, suddenly realising tears were streaming down my face. I didnt even know what for- i didnt know him, not matter what he said... But i felt like if he left, i would never see him again
