The goblin looked around nervously, hoping for a saviour.

"3!" He punches the goblin in the gut hard, drawing the notice of the other goblins who alert the aurors of the violent thief.

"You're lucky I don't have time to do more..." Sawyer told the goblin as he started to run out.

The goblin wheezed, staring after the thief with unhiidden hate.

Sawyer apparated away, heading back to his boss.

Joachim, followed by his hulking friend Sawyer, walked toward Gringotts. The new wizard crime boss knew that Amaya wasn't much for sniffing around too long before trying to take a bite so the sooner he grabbed Chezhekov's money and fled town the better...

What was she doing here?

Well, the answer was simple: killing two birds with one stone. 

Pinching a strand of Meredia's hair had been easy, considering the simpering sister had felt incredibly vulnerable without her presence lately. As much as she adored her, she'd serve as a good disguise to use when talking to people in Gringotts. She assumed the goblins would take a liking to a short, blind girl and her rights to a muggle inheritance better than they would to Amaya.

Adjusting to her now stumpier legs, she spotted the pair immediately, considering it a great coincidence they'd arrived at the same time. So she continued on her path towards Gringotts, hesitating at the entrance, just like Meredia would in a new place.

Stepping inside without paying heed to Meridia, after all she was blind no need to alert her to his presence, he took out the key to Chezhekov's vault and spun it between his fingers.

'Like it old man? That your former errand boy is now about to haul away all your dough?'

'Joachim?'

Her quiet voice seemed to precede her as the soft clank of moving metal would've alerted the younger girl. Amaya forced her face to stretch into a smile.

'Is that you? How've you been?'

'Dammit!'


He put on his best car-salesmen like smile and attitude, "Heyheyhey! Meredia! Nice to see you here! Not much is going on! Just make a withdrawal..."

ic 'I didn't think you'd have a Gringotts account.' The confusion was evident in her tone, and the presumed blind girl blinked at him. 'Who's your friend?' she turned to him, still retaining the same grin.

"Name's Sawyer..." The gruff man told her, "Nice to meet ya..." 

"Yeah Sawyer and me go way back! Got me out of a few jams, I got him out of a few..." Joachim explained hurriedly, as though trying to get something to go over her head. " So what about you? How's life?"

ic 'It's been worse... I saw Krystal the other day, she didn't seem very happy.' This was information Meredia had shared with her, after all. 'I know you and May don't get on, but Krystal's still a sister to me.' 

She resisted gritting her teeth through the last part, aware that whilst she was supposed to be blind, her own facial features would give her away.

"Hey I'll have you know, I didn't want any bad blood with May. She sprung it on me! How was I supposed to know she was the rightful heir?" He exclaimed earnestly.

"She sprung this mess on me! I'm the victim here!"

He knew all this time I was the heir? 


Exposure to her father's rage was the only thing keeping her expression schooled into one of meek kindness, as she clasped her small hands together. 'If you knew it was May's, then you shouldn't have taken it..' she said in Meredia's quiet voice. 'Krystal is my sister, but i can't stop May, she wants what's hers.'

"I didn't know, that's the thing! That will I found didn't even mention her on it!" 

"My thinking is Chezzy had some kind of plan to split from Abonacci that went south..."

'His plan didn't work, which means it really does belong to her...' she murmured, almost to herself. Being her father's right hand had enlightened her to the internal affairs between the two crime rivals. They'd established peace - against wizards - who were considered the greater of two evils. But what Chezekov had never known was that most of Abonacci's childrens were competent in the use of magic.

'May was real important to her Dad, more than you were to Chezekov, i assume.' She shuffled from foot to foot, wondering how long she had on the polyjuice potion.

'Why did he choose you? You told May all the time you were just a grunt.'

'Wait a minute... she doesn't know about the fake will I made. I won! As long as I have the fake will, who can say otherwise who's organization it is?'

Even though the real will still had no mention of Amaya, so long as the fake will was in play he had by all accounts legal right to it.

"Chezhekov was a difficult man to read, you know the sort of poker faces those Russkies have. Guess I meant more to him than I thought..." He played off casually.

A thin smile crossed Amaya's lips, keeping her posture oddly level. She was unsure how to proceed with this, without revealing her trump cards.

I'm still acting as Meredia, he won't realise it's me...


'I uhm... have a confession for you. Now Abonacci and Chezekov are both dead, I can tell you.'

"A confession? Yeah shot. What is it?" He asked curiously, trying to keep panic from his voice. Any new factor was a complication to deal with and right now he had more than plenty to juggle.

She exhaled, opening her arms as her limbs began to shudder and jerk, the polyjuice potion weakening with every passing second.

'I know your will is fake.' She had mere moments before she revealed herself, glad she had access to her knives. 'It was always meant to be mine, Chimmy.'

"Oh damn..."

Joachim made a break for it, running out of the bank like a bat out of hell. He pushed through crowds of people trying to create as much distance between him and Amaya as possible. It was far from the first time he was chased by someone he wronged and it would be far from the last time...
