| Word had reached here of the final battle. While it didn't show on my face, a whirlwind of feelings were going on in my chest.
The first flurry was of relief my brothers had survived. If they had perished I would never be able to live with myself knowing I could've saved them.
The second squall was horror that Artisan had been biten by a vampire. According to reports, he had been made a pseudo-vampire. At least he'll have River to act as an instructor so there isn't anything I can do on that front.
The third current was elation that now Hogwarts was free from villainy. Too long had the Death Eaters held reign there, Artemis thought he could control things by his lonesome. Typical brother, noble to no end but unrealistic. I can only hope he learned something from this.
The fourth gust was greif and sorrow. I had been fond of Bryn and I know Meredia was moreso. I'll comfort her after my mission is complete. Bryn would've wanted the Ministry free from corruption, as would Sydnay.
The final flatus was nostalgia. Hogwarts can go back to how it was when it first opened. I hope my father was watching, proud of all who partook in the fight.
It was time. No more hiding or disguises. It was time to finally end this. | |
